Donor-Advised Funds
Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are an increasingly popular charitable vehicle and provide a convenient and tax-efficient method for donors to manage their charitable giving. If your DAF is held with Fidelity, Schwab or BNY Mellon, you can initiate a grant recommendation for ULS via DAF Direct.
Required Minimum Distributions
If you are 72 or over, there's a good chance Uncle Sam requires an annual withdrawal from IRAs and other retirement accounts. If you give directly to ULS from such an account, you can typically enjoy a non-trivial tax break on appreciated assets.
