The creation of a healthy endowment is the key ingredient in the success of any educational institution.
The ULS Endowment Fund was pioneered in 1983 with a $25,000 donation. Major gifts, matching grants, and good investment performance have been instrumental in moving our endowment to its present-day state. Annual gifts to the ULS endowment are crucial to the success of our educational institution.
University Lake School has established the Legacy Fund within the ULS Endowment. The Legacy Fund traditionally receives estate planning gifts. Gifts given to the fund today benefit ULS forever. Each year, a portion of the annual income will be spent, but the principal remains to grow, in order to help future generations.
The Legacy Fund recognizes outright gifts made to the ULS Endowment and estate gifts through the de Peyster Society. We can help identify the options that best fit your giving and financial goals, as well as provide sample language to help define the way in which your gifts are designated and used.
The ULS Endowment provides the resources necessary to offer financial aid to any admitted student who demonstrates need. ULS does not take families’ finances into account when selecting candidates for admission. Instead, ULS looks for the most promising students, regardless of their ability to pay. The Endowment helps to ensure all students worthy of ULS are able to attend. We appreciate your continued support of University Lake School and our extraordinary students.
