Mrs. Julie K. Wold
Third Grade Teacher

Education: Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Fine Arts
In addition I have earned many credits at the graduate level. Some of my favorites are: Storytelling, Art and Science, and Six Traits of Writing. This past summer I took an impressionist painting workshop for two days and feel like my painting is beginning to take a new twist!

I’ve had the joy of teaching at University Lake School since 1991. I’ve taught first through fifth grades in my career and thoroughly enjoy working with children. I’m thrilled to be returning to third grade, which is my FAVORITE grade to teach! INVENTION will be the lower school theme for 2014-2015. The faculty will also be discussing writing as our academic area of emphasis.

I’ve been married to Rob Wold for 39 years, and we have two sons, Christopher and Geoffrey. Both attended University Lake School and Geoffrey married an alumni, Katie Moranchek. Our first grandchild, Elizabeth Grace, arrived on September 21, 2012. We are so excited to announce that our second grandchild will be arriving in October 2014.

I had  such a full summer! One highlight included a dream vacation to Norway. We were able to reconnect to our family roots and experience the most beautiful scenery on this planet. In addition my husband and I purchased a 1950s ranch home in Oconomowoc. We are planning on remodeling and moving into this smaller home sometime this school year.  I am energized and ready for an exhilarating year!
