Upper School Science Teacher
MS: Curriculum and Instruction, UW-Milwaukee – In Progress
BS: Molecular Biology, Chemistry Minor, Loyola University Chicago
The 2015-2016 school year is my second year teaching at University Lake School, but my first year as a full-time science teacher. I am eager to begin assisting my students in the development of their scientific content knowledge and process skills. It is extremely important that learning does not occur through memorization in my classroom. As a result, I encourage my students to learn through inquiry and problem-solving. I believe in creating an atmosphere where mistakes are accepted and students feel comfortable to share their ideas. Every student deserves the opportunity to explore his or her passions. The ULS community provides students with that unique opportunity. Being able to work with students in small classes, especially being able to help them capitalize on their strengths and address challenges, is the cornerstone of helping every student to be successful. I am excited to be apart of the ULS community.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I am committed to ensuring my students succeed and am available to assist them both inside and outside of class.
