While this is my fifth year at ULS, I have been an elementary teacher for over 20 years. I have worked with 1st through 6th graders at independent schools in Chicago, Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Mukwonago.  I am an Alverno College alumna, and also have International Elementary Montessori training.

I have always loved learning whether through school, traveling, relationships, playing, reading, listening, and even my mistakes.  My educational and career choices reflect my desire to make learning engaging and stimulating.  I believe learning is most effective when active, relevant and connected to the learner.  I strive to bring my joy and love of knowledge and learning to my classroom.

I grew up in New England, and moved to northern Illinois while in high school.  It was a fortunate move which allowed me to eventually meet my husband, Mike. We have two children.  Danny is a 6th grader, and Ryan is a 10th grader.  The boys have varied interest.  Chess matches and lemonade stands were common at our house when they were younger, but playing sports takes up much of their time.  It goes without saying that it also is starting to take up much of my time as well.

I look forward to another stimulating year in this friendly and supportive community.
