My name is Joe Hardgrove.  I am entering my eighth year at University Lake School after teaching 5th and 6th grades at St. Philip Neri in Milwaukee.  My undergraduate degree is in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.  After working as a correctional officer at the Brown County Correctional Facility and coaching high school basketball for two years, I went back to school to become a teacher.  I received my teaching certificate and Masters Degree in Education from Cardinal Stritch University.  I have been teaching 5th grade along with coaching the 5th and 6th grade boys basketball team since coming to University Lake School.

My wife, Becky, and I live in Pewaukee with our son, Ben, and daughter, Kate, along with our dogs, Lucy and Harley.  In our free time we love to get away to our cabin in the north woods along with many other outdoor activities.
