I live in Sussex with my husband Shawn. We have two children Justin and Jalissa. Justin graduated from ULS in 2003 and is in the Air Force. He is stationed at Hill Air Force base in Utah. He and his wife Julie live in Clearfield, Utah and are expecting our first grandchild in September. Jalissa graduated from ULS in 2007 and graduated in May from UW Stout majoring in Art Education. She is beginning her third year as an art teacher at Webster Elementary in Watertown. Both started here as kindergartners! Time sure flies! I enjoy spending time with family. In the summer I find time for some traveling, pleasure reading, flower gardening, and a little fishing.

I have been a part of the ULS community for over 29 years now. I have had the privilege to teach kindergarten for the past 20+ years and look forward to learning with my new students. My goal is to make learning joyful as we meet the needs of our learners.  I believe each child has something to share with all of us!  As educators and adults we need to slow down and give them many opportunities to express their thoughts and ideas.  Children are truly amazing!
