After school program: Be Well; a workshop supporting a healthy lifestyle

Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and English, University Wisconsin-Milwaukee

My educational beliefs coincide with the Reggio Emilia approach as to how young children learn best. I believe all children are strong, capable, individuals who are curious about the world around them. Treating children with kindness and respects models to them how to treat other people. JK’s foundation consists of character building, problem solving, and relationship building.

ULS is one of my favorite places to be! This is my 18th year of teaching young children and my 7th year at ULS. I enjoy working with young children because they question everything which encourages me to take a deeper thought provoking look at the world around me. Through the innate drive of the children to learn, they truly end up teaching me so much each year. I have two children of my own. My sons are both in the middle school this year and love the independence and freedom to spread their wings and soar that ULS provides for them. I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and gardening plus indoor activities like cooking, weightlifting, and cheering on the Packer’s!
