Junior Trip - An Overview
University Lake School’s 11th graders enjoy a visit to Michigan’s Porcupine Mountains for their leadership trip. The physically challenging hike is supplemented with opportunities to learn techniques for negotiating the backwoods. Although the class shares the trail, they work in small groups to allow each student to step into a leadership role. This backpacking adventure gives the students an opportunity to use skills they have learned on previous trips and to confront the particular challenges of being on a trail.
